Here I go.

Tomorrow is the big day. Perhaps even, the first day of the rest of my life.

It's far from my first time in the classroom, but I just can't help and be nervous.

That's the thing with big decisions; you never know how they will end up.
Will the decisions I've made and are currently making going to come back and haunt me?
Will I regret having made them?
Only time will tell, I suppose.

I put together a PPT presentation to intriduce myself to the class.
On one of the slides, I included my classroom rules.

They read as follows:
be prepared
be on time
be respectful
try your best!

I really have to practice what I preach.
I'm almost 100% prepared (but will be fully prepared by class tomorrow).
I will surely be on time.
I will definitely respect my students.
And all I can do is try my best.
Holy crap. Wish me luck.

Following your dreams.

I recently quit my job in order to follow my dreams.
At a time when many Americans are struggling to find a job, I decided to leave my job in corporate America and pursue my life-long dream of becoming a high school English teacher.
It was not necerraily a difficult decision, but I struggled with the fact that come June, I might not have a job anymore.
Considering the situation in education at the moment, I'm nervous about this decision coming back to bite me in the bum.

Nevertheless, I'm happy with my decision and a this point all I can do is hope that this decision works out in my favor.
This blog will partially be about my experiences in the classroom, among anything else that inspires me. It will be a place where I share my adventures, frustrations, and just a place where I will document my journey.
So wish me luck as I take on this new venture in my life.
I'll need it!
